
: Friday , April 27, 2012 White Wizard Belgian White Ale With summer on it's way , I wanted to brew a nice drinking lighter beer . I had wanted to brew a saison , but the temps are still too low in the house for the fermentation temps to get high enough . Instead , I decided to go with a white ale . For the first time I used different spices than the standard coriander and decided to use some camomile flowers . Other than those minor tweaks , the recipe is very . simple Most of the time I brew I don't use brewing software to calculate my OG . Since I partial mash , I have the comfort in knowing that I will still be able to get plenty of fermentables from the extract , so I don't really know my partial mash efficiency .
